Two suspected fake military personnel are now cooling their feet in police custody over alleged impersonation.
A jack knife, one round of life bullet, several desert and woodland military camouflages were said to have been recovered from them, and their operational commercial bus impounded.
The suspects, identified as Egbeke Ife a and Kazeem Nasiru, according to police source were apprehended by the patrol team of the Nigeria Navy School of Music, Sango, Ota following discreet suspicion.
Our correspondent gathered that the duo were arrested under the Sango-Ota flyover bridge, while driving a Lagos colour commercial bus during a routine patrol exercise by the school security operatives.
It was learnt that the curiosity of the Navy patrol officers was aroused when they saw the driver in army camouflage, prompting them to stop him and his co traveler and  demanded their identify, which they couldn’t give satisfactorily.
The alleged impersonators were said to have rebuffed the demand of the naval officials, leading to some arguments before they were taken to their base for further interrogation.
” When the two suspected impersonators realised that the game was up they admitted their status as civilians and gave their names as Egbeke Ife and Kazeem Nasiru”, source added.
Our correspondent further  gathered that the suspects were handed over to the IGP Intelligence Response Team, IRT for further interrogation.
