Twenty two people died while 58 oters sustained various degree of injuries as a result of tire burst involving a trailer at Tashar Musa along Makarfi area in Kaduna state today.
The trailer with registration number WDL 502 XA was overloaded with wood and people heading to Kano.
Speaking on the accident, the Unit Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC Tashar Yari Unit, Ahmed Sa’idu Daura said the driver was over speeding when the tire bursted.
He said the injured people were taken to hospital for treatment and at the time of filling this report no dead was recorded among the hospitalized victims.
