Speaker of the Kaduna State House Assembly, Honourable Aminu Shagali has expressed optimism that the agricultural sector in Kaduna State and by extension Nigeria, would witness a bumper harvest in 2018 as a result of innovation witnessed at the 39th Kaduna International Trade Fair.
He expressed this while interacting with newsmen on Monday, where he was on a private tour.
According to him, the agricultural tools and input he has seen, will be beneficial to farmers, as they are innovations that would greatly impact on the economy.
Honourable Shagali said that though he was not too impressed with the turnout at the fair, he katet saw people trooping in.
“The trade fair is not like before, maybe due to economic condition or because it is the second day, but with what I am seeing, I believe it will boom as it progresses,” he said.
In his tour, he was most particularly focused on stands exhibiting agricultural products.
