In less than one year in office, the Adamawa State Government under the leadership of Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla has spent over N12 billion on road projects in and outside the state capital.
Mrs. Lillian Kayode, state Commissioner of Works who made this known during a Ministerial Media Parley held in Yola, maintained that the road project was executed in Yola and Mubi towns.
“In less than one year in office, the administration of Governor Muhammadu Jibrillah has spent a total of N12.434 billion naira on 53.76 Kilometers’ Yola and Mubi townships roads constructions”,  she stated.

She explained that presently in Yola and Mubi, there are about 46 township roads under constructions, some of the roads especially in Jimeta and Yola have reached 80 per cent completion.
Kayode noted that to ensure tight security across the state capital, the state government has ensured that all roads are equipped with street lights unlike what obtains before the advent of Jibrilla’s administration.
She noted that the roads are being constructed to meet the highest standards so as to ensure that the people get value for their money just as she noted that the cost of constructing the roads are very competitive.
Kayode listed Yola western bye pass, Faro Water/Sunshine motor park double carriage and Jambutu in Jimeta –Yola among the projects executed. While Ahmadu Bello way, Mubi Central Primary School, Maiha Street was also among the roads project in Mubi.
