Ahead of handing and taking over on May 29, the North East All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Ambassadors, Adamawa State Chapter on Wednesday, urged the President-elect, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider the Adamawa APC big wig, Hon Abdulrazak Saad Namdas in his  cabinet because of his ability to deliver on a given mandate.

The group also appealed to the Vice President-elect, Alh Kashim Shettima and the All Progressives Congress National Working Committee (APC-NWC) to be magnanimous in their zonal consideration for those who worked for the success of the party in the recently concluded presidential election.

Namdas had contested the Adamawa governorship primary under APC alongside five others, including former Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani, former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) Nuhu Ribadu, former Chairman of the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) Wafari Theman, and Umar Mustapha Otumba, a business tycoon.

Ahmed B Mohammed and Alhaji Bappare Musa; Convener and Co-convener respectfully in their joint press conference text said, expressed optimism that with the right people around Tinubu, he would be able to take the country to an enviable height.

The text reads in part; “We congratulate Nigeria and Nigerians for the successful election that has thrown up Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Alh Kashim Shettima of All Progressives Congress (APC) as President-Elect and Vice President-Elect respectively who will be sworn in by May 29 as substantive President and Vice President by the grace of God.

“We can say with all responsibility that both of them represent tolerance, inclusiveness, love, and compassion as detribalized leaders who have been tested and trusted in different political capacities.

“Over the years, Senator Tinubu has exercised superior intelligence, and leadership composure and demonstrated a far more pragmatic approach to solving the many problems of economic downturn, disunity, insecurity, human capital development, and issues.

“As students and observers of the Nigerian political environment, we understand that a lot of political alignment and realignment are currently ongoing ahead of May 29 handing and taking over that will usher in a change of guards.

“We, therefore, choose this time to engage you all through this medium to reiterate our total support for the man whom we regard as a political octopus in Adamawa State, in the person of Hon. Abdulrazak Saad Namdas who took the bull by the horn to champion the struggle for BAT/ SHETTIMA in this part of the country.

“It is on record that, Hon Namdas has what it takes for him to boldly come out in a state overrun by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and distinguished himself as a member of the APC and proven to be the number one party man in Adamawa and Nigerian political landscape.

“He is the man adjudged to be the primary pillar of the APC in Adamawa State.

“The man who represented Jada/Ganye/MayoBelwa/Toungo Federal Constituency and former Chief Press Secretary to former Governor Boni Haruna of Adamawa State has a lot in stock to offer the incoming administration when appropriately considered with a befitting appointment.

“Tinubu has always been the epitome of humility, faithfulness, honesty, fairness, and progress. While he was a governor he built bridges between Christians and Muslims, he is an actualizer who made human capital dev and infrastructural re-engineering the fulcrum of administration.

“The greatest challenge facing Nigeria today is that of leadership, Nigeria needs a leader that the people can identify with and inspire them to greater heights and at the same time work with individuals with deliverables.

“We hereby, call on our incoming President, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the incoming Vice President, Alh Kashim Shettima, and our great party National Working Committee (APC-NWC) to consider Hon. Abdulrazak Saad Namdas in the ongoing political permutations as may be due to the North East considering his effort in the recently concluded presidential election”.
