Special Assistant on Media to the Bauchi State Governor, Comrade Sabo Mohammed has said that the internal crisis within the ranks and files of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state is only on the pages of newspapers.
According to him, at home base party members are one solidified All Progressives Congress (APC) under the amiable state leadership of Uba Ahmed Nana; hence there are no crises and controversies as its being speculated by agents of disunity.
“You see happily enough the fighting are only on the pages of newspapers, if you come back home we are solidified APC under the amiable leadership of Uba Ahmed Nana, so there is no crisis and no controversies as to who is the leader of the party in the state”.
Comrade Sabo Mohammed told the press in Bauchi Monday that Governor Mohammed Abubakar remains the leader of the APC in the state, stressing that if Speaker Yakubu Dogara is number four citizens in national hierarchy, which is something different entirely.
He recalled that when Yakubu Dogara emerged as Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar was the first state Governor who visited and congratulated him, ‘So the first port of call is the party.
“To the best of my knowledge as a chieftain of the part, I know there isn’t any program that these people were not invited. And when you invite people and they refuse to come, do you force them to come”, he queried.
Comrade added, “I’m confident that the party under Uba Ahmed Nana is doing very well to see that all aggrieved members of the party are bring onto its mainstream”.
“We love the group, we cherish them, they are part and parcel of us, and they are bonafide members of the APC. They have contributed their quota towards the development of the party, there is no doubt about that, but the facts remain that you cannot eat your cake in Abuja and have it in Bauchi”.
The Media special assistant therefore advised all Bauchi political stakeholders to cooperate with the state government so as to tap from the little competitive resources of the nation towards the development of the state.
“Governor Mohammed Abubakar honors invitations from the ward, local government, state and national levels and if you go through all these strata, there is no meeting of the party that this group is not invited, but declines to come giving flimsy excuses, so we have to go ahead and move forward”.
Comrade Sabo Mohammed further explained that in a situation where the group is trying to drag Bauchi state back while it is moving assiduously to ensure it moves forward, then definitely the group must pay the prize and regret its actions politically.
