The Taraba Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Saturday said it has conducted clearance operation at Roadblock area of Jalingo.
Taraba Sector Commander of FRSC, Corps Commander, Selina Williams, who supervised the operation, told journalists that the clearance became necessary to enhance free flow of traffic.
“The clearance operation was a success as traders, hawkers among others vacated the roads giving commuters a free flow of traffic.
“I also used the opportunity to warn the hawkers, traders and others causing obstructions not to resurface around the area again,” he said.
Williams explained that she also warned destitute and illegal parks operators at Roadblock to stay away for free flow of traffic.
She directed Assistant Corps Commander, Audu Ifejka, the ACC Operations to continue with the exercise in order fish out perpetrators for sanctions.
Williams assured the Taraba Government and people of the state of the corps’ commitment to safety of the roads.
