The initiative is part of the “Tallafin Noma: A Koma Gona”(Get Back to Farm) programme, which aims to enhance sustainable livelihood through social interventions and economic empowerment.
Governor Uba Sani’s administration is committed to revitalizing the agricultural sector, addressing the challenges faced by smallholder farmers and small-scale agro-processors amid the current economic challenges.

This distribution will cover the entire Zone 1 LGAs, with other zones being flagged off in the coming days.

Key components of the A Koma Gona programme include, Improved Maize Seeds Distribution, where farmers will receive high-quality maize seeds to improve crop yields.
Agrochemicals will also be provided to enhance pest and disease management.
Fertilizers are crucial for soil enrichment and optimal plant growth, hence, NPK and Urea fertilizers will be distributed.
Similarly, smallholder farmers will receive 30-day-old chicks (broilers) along with feed and medications.
Fifty jumbo juveniles (catfish) will be distributed, accompanied by feed and medications.
Farmer cooperative groups will receive power tillers and necessary accessories, as well as Knapsack Sprayers with PPE.
Individuals will receive knapsack sprayers equipped with personal protective equipment for safe agrochemical and liquid fertilizer application.
