Talent Development: Volleyball Clubs May Soon Be Mandated To Have Academies – Nimrod

Worried about the need for further grassroots development ahead major competitions, the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod has advocated for the mandatory establishment of academies by Premier League volleyball clubs in the country.

He dropped the hint while speaking at a Technical Committee meeting of the Kaduna State Volleyball Association (KADSVA), held on Thursday May 5, 2022.

At the meeting which lasted till about 8pm, Engineer Nimrod, who is also the Chairman of KADSVA, emphasized the need to further develop the game at the grassroots.

He tasked Kaduna coaches to step up action in preparation for the National Sports Festival (NSF) billed for Delta this year.

Earlier in his submission, Coach Vincent Unogwu said that Kaduna remains not just one of the top volleyball talent grooming state, but a force to reckon with.

He praised Engineer Musa Nimrod from for his commitment at developing the game in the state, North West and NIgeria.
