The suspended Oyo State Chairman of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) Chief Folaranmi Owolabi is to face the disciplinary committee set up by the party’s state working committee.
This was contained in a communique jointly signed by the party’s State Secretary, Pastor Dare Ojo and the State Woman Leader, Comrade Ayanbiola.
According to the communique, at the emergency meeting, it was unanimously agreed that the suspension of Chief Owolabi was long overdue.
“The meeting deliberated extensively on the Suspension of the State Chairman of the Party Chief Folaranmi Owolabi which was unanimously agreed as long overdue and will also serve as a warning signal to both leaders and members of the party against such actions in the future” it added.
The Communique added, “the State working committee has also decided to brace up to the task of running the affairs of the party in Oyo state effectively and with recourse to the Constitution of the party.”
It stressed that ” pending the outcome of the report of the Disciplinary committee set up by the party to look into the allegations against the suspended chairman, arrangement will be put in place to fill the vacuum in acting capacity in due course”.
“All the state executives and Party leaders are expected to meet the state working committee of the party on Monday, 14th January, 2019 while the suspended Chairman, Chief Folaranmi Owolabi is expected to make himself available before the Disciplinary committee to defend the allegations levied against him.”
