Supporters Club denies U-23  ban
By; Ayo Ojedokun, Lagos.
The Nigeria Football Supporters Club has debunked reports in some social media networks that her members have been banned from the ongoing CAF U-23 Nations Cup Qualifier in Senegal particularly ahead of match against host country, Senegal.
According to him, none of its registered members have been in Senegal not to talk of displaying the defunct Biafran Flag during the last group match against Algeria, “We have never been banned and we cannot be banned as been speculated”.
Oladipo, in his reaction on the issue with sports reporters in Lagos enjoined Nigerians to ignore the report as there was no truth in it. He noted that all his members have been a patriotic ambassadors of the country as against the unpatriotic and mere fans/spectator’s who have lacked most of our trademarks such as “our usual drumming, clapping and blowing of inspirational songs at the ongoing championship. “We have always been a good ambassadors of the country and we shall continue to be any day anytime” he explained.
Earlier, plans have been concluded by the club to storm Senegal ahead the semi and final match of the championship respectively. He further enjoined Football loving Nigerians to go all out and support the team to victory.
