The lead Counsel to the Yoruba nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho, Chief Yomi Alliyu (SAN) on Wednesday alerted that the Yoruba right activist is now critically ill in Cotonou, Republic.of Benin
Chief Alliyu (SAN) made this known in Ibadan while speaking with the New Nigerian on a report aired by the BBC News on Sunday Igboho,’s health condition.
The lead Counsel Counsel stated that Chief Igboho upon his failing health has been taken to the hospital in Cotonou for medical attention.
According to Chief Alliyu, report reaching him indicated that one of Igboho’s organs might have been affected as a result of injuries he sustained when some gunmen invaded and attacked his Soka residence in Ibadan on July 1, this year.
Sunday Igboho was reported to have fell while escaping from the armed gunmen during which two persons were killed in his house by the rampaging gunmen.
Chief Alliyu (SAN) stressed that Sunday Igboho has applied to the Republic of Benin authorities that he should be allowed to seek better medical attention either in France or Germany.
