Strategic communication skill essential for marriage survival -Cleric

Founder of Shafaudeen In Islam Worldwide, Professor Sabit Olagoke has identified Strategic communication skill as an essential tool for building a happy home.
Professor Olagoke stated this in his address titled “Communication: an essential tool for building a happy home” at the 2015 anniversary of Shafaudeen Young Women Association in Ibadan,Oyo state.
The Cleric declared that “marriage as the most interpersonal relationships must be supported by strategic communication skill to avoid marital conflict and context for homicide as reported daily almost in all nations through the media”
According to Professor Olagoke, “survey conducted on many marriages to assess the level of attainment of happiness in built homes reveal that less than 20 percent of homes face marital conflicts between the couples”
Professor Olagoke noted that effective skills in communication are a veritable tool to promote a happy home devoid of marital conflict and that “spouses must open up at courtship period to be able to identify weak areas for timely intervention”
Speaking, Chairperson of Shafaudeen Young Women Association, Alhaja Aisha Zakariyau urged successful Muslim women in Nigeria to create conducive atmosphere for their fellow women to thrive and be assets to the country.
Alhaja Zakariyau stressed that empowering women was not just about fairness but “also has macroeconomic benefits to make them become more useful for the society”
“We need mothers who are capable of being character builders, patient, loving, strong and true whose homes will be uplifting power in the race. It is now time to create a world where every little girl can fulfill her potential without impediment and prejudice. It is important for women who do reach the top despite the odds, to help build an overall environment in which all women can thrive,” she said.
