The embattled candidate in the in the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) Kaduna Central re-run primary, Lawal Adamu, known as Mr. LA has been cautioned to desist from spreading fake and unsubstantiated story about the concluded election that produced Hon. Usman Ibrahim, popularly called Sardaunan Badarawa as the valid candidate of the exercise.
Sardaunan Badarawa’s campaign team was reacting to a statement credited to Mr. LA’s handlers claiming that a Kaduna High Court granted victory to their principal as the authentic candidate of PDP.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of the campaign organization, Hon. Ayuba Ragas, said that Sardaunan Badarawa who was declared winner and candidate of PDP, Kaduna Central Zone in the forthcoming 2023 general election, wonders the motive behind the story at a time the party should be earnestly preparing on how to win the general election with a landslide.
” It is baffling and against every reason of judicial proceedings to claim to have gotten victory from the high court when you have no case there at all.
” It is now clear to every reasonable actor in this issue that Mr. LA has seen that the Appeal Court will throw out his case for lack of substance hence he resorted to chasing a mirage when he should join hands with other aspirants to ensure victory of his party at the poll next year.
” No credible Media outlet carried the purported story of Mr LA’ s High Court victory other than the mushroom bloggers he usually exploit to do his biddings.
” We are urging by this statement all supporters of Sardaunan Badarawa to disregard the antics of Mr. LA’s camp aimed at distracting us from focus on winning the general election next year.
” We enjoin them to see this as a vindication that they are on the right track and the winning ship and above all as a sign of better days to come with Sardaunan Badarawa as kaduna Central Senator.
” We are very sure of victory at the poll God willing and optimistic of having a deal that will favour our people and change their social and economic status for the better.
” We must not be distracted by fifth any machinations aimed to discourage our determination in enthroning good and credible candidate with the interest of people at heart,” the statement said.
