Osun State Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Dr Bayo Faforji on Sunday asked the suspended Chairman of the party in the state, Chief Ademola Ishola to desist from “further acts of impersonation.”
Dr Faforiji handed down the warning in a statement in Osogbo made available to newsmen also copied the state Commissioner of Police, the Director of DSS, NSCDC and the INEC
The SDP Chairman declared that in as much as the party in the state will at all time be open to reconcile any warring member, it would not condone further acts of impersonation by the suspended Chairman Ishola.
“The new state executives of the SDP in Osun State under my leadership has tolerated the tantrums of Mr Ademola Ishola and Femi Awe, the former state chairman and secretary respectively thus far, because we do not believe to foreclose windows of reconciliation in our preparedness for the coming election.” he said.
Dr Faforiji added in the letter that in Osun state, “SDP is no longer a parlour based entity which it was under the duo, but a vibrant and ever expanding organisation which now has commanding presence in all the units, wards, local governments of Osun State. The national secretariat of our party has written formally to recognise the current state executive under my leadership”.
New Nigerian recalled that Chief Ademola Ishola, alongside his secretary, Mr Femi Awe, were suspended few weeks ago by the national leadership of the SDP in Abuja for allegedly anti party activities and other misdeeds, which the SDP National Secretariat claimed were capable of thwarting the success of the party, most especially before, during and after the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun state.
