*Appeal for reduction in fees of tertiary institutions

Southern Kaduna Youth and Students Forum (SKYSFOM), has extended its warm felicitations to the newly sworn-in executive Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani.

This was contained in a statement signed by the National President of the association, Comrade Shedrack Danladi and issued to newsmen in Kaduna.

The student’s forum president is optimistic that with his excellency track record at the ninth assembly ,the state will achieve sustainable growth and development.

“While wishing you a successful tenure, we are calling on you to proffer solutions to the many challenges that bedeviled Kaduna State and the people in the past eight years.

“Kaduna State in the past eight years, has suffered disunity,  insecurity, unfavourable treatment of civil servants, hike in tuition fees, among others,” he said.

The statement called on the  governor to operate an inclusive government by involving all sectors and zones in the state to make them have  a sense of belonging  for the overall sustenance of the  state.

It appealed to the governor  to remember his campaign promise of downward review of school fees at tertiary institutions in the state, a situation which has made many students to drop out of school.

“Your Excellency, we want to remind you of a promise you made during your campaign to downwardly review the hike in tuition fees in institutions of learning in the state. Therefore, we are craving your indulgence to make commitment to your promise by issuing directives on that  as soon as possible,” it appealed.

Comrade Shedrack Danladi further assured of readiness of the association  to engage and work with the administration of the governor in any area of concern for the betterment of its members and the state at large.

The statement concluded by joining thousands of well wishers to congratulate the governor elect and prayed for  the knowledge and wisdom to pilot the state in the next four years.
