Southern Kaduna clashes: Meyyetti Allah sues for peace between farmers/ Fulani herdsmen

The National body of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, has assured of its readiness to tighten and restore peace in Southern Kaduna, following years of incessant communal clashes between farmers and Fulani herdsmen in the area.
Speaking at the Kachia Grazing reserve when the President of the association, Alh. Mohammed Kiruwa led his delegation to sensitize the occupants of the grazing reserve on modern
pastorial farming, the group further made a vowed that, those who are found causing violence within the areas of Ninte, Gada Biyu Godogodo axis amongst other areas would be dealt with decisively  in accordance with the law of the land.
“All our Fulanis brothers should desist from the possession of AK47 rifle, we are known with sticks not ammunitions,” he said.
He noted that those who indulged themselves in criminal activities ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery amongst others, should desist from such act with immediate effect.
He directed that any Ardo who goes to police station to bail any criminal should be arrested and dealt with decisively.
While commenting on the clashes, the chairman Meyyetti Allah cattle  breeders association, Kaduna State branch, Dr. Abdullahi Ibrahim, swore that the clashes between the herdsmen and Farmers was not hired by the hausa/Fulani herdsmen indigine in Southern Kaduna.
He further added that the challenges of these clashes was caused by some Ardos who knew those that are carrying out the attacks without disclosing them to the relevant agencies for legal prosecution.
On his part, Dr. Sale Momale, a resident of Ladduga grazing reserve, Kachia,  urged politicians to live Fulanis herdsmen and the farmers alone to settle their differences, adding that the communal clashes within the Southern Kaduna axis was been orchestrated by politicians.
“If you are reading news on the papers, one will think their is no single Fulani man living in the Southern Kaduna. There is need for us to tighten security in our areas,” he observed.
