Southern Kaduna APC Accuses Opposition of Complicating Killings

The All Progressives Congress, APC), of Southern Kaduna Zone on Monday ‎accused Sen. Danjuma La’ah and other opposition members of complicating Southern Kaduna killings for political gains .
Addressing a news conference in Kaduna, APC Southern Kaduna Zonal Chairman, Hon.Luka Shemang flanked by State Director of Media and Publicity, Hon. Manasseh Istifanus said though the attacks being experienced in Southern Kaduna were inherited from the past administration of the opposition party, Governor Nasir El-Rufai has taken concrete and practical steps to address the unfortunate attacks and killings in the area.
He explained that in an effort to bring about lasting peace to the Southern Kaduna zone, the present government constituted a committee that was chaired by Gen. Martin Luther Agwai (rtd) whose function amongst others was to review the 2011 peace report and make recommendations to the present government which implementation is ongoing.
Shemang while condemning the killings in Southern Kaduna, called on the opposition to stop the unpatriotic act of hatred and teamed up with El-Rufai to bring an end to terrorism ravaging the zone.
According to the APC: “We are not here to join issues with them; rather, we want to set the records straight as they affect the entire peace loving people of Southern Kaduna and our party the APC.
“It is pertinent to note that, we all know that Southern Kaduna is going through a lot of security challenge at the moment. We want to use this medium to vehemently condemn the attacks on the precious, innocent, industrious, and religious and peace loving people of the entire Southern Kaduna region. It is very sad that precious lives are being cut down in their prime thereby reducing our numerical strength and work force that greatly contribute to the economic growth of the state reaping it off fulfilling the purpose to which it has come into existence.
“We as a Party (All Progressive Congress) from the Southern Kaduna region will continue to ensure that our Government takes necessary steps and actions to protect lives and properties and to stop the bloodletting” the APC said.
