Sourthern Kaduna Killings: Fulanis accuse Security Operatives of Complicity

Miyatti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Mobgal Fulbe Development Association and Jama’a Foundation have accused security operatives of lopsidedness in handling security issues in troubled area’s of southern Kaduna.
The group at a media briefing in Kaduna State North
West Nigeria said, willful encroachment of grazing reserves and illegal conversion of same to farmlands, residential among other factors led to the recent unrest in Southern Kaduna.
Its also accused religious leaders and security operatives of lopsidedness and partisanship in the conflict.
According to them, willful encroachment of grazing reserves amounted to the unfinished business of developing a harmonious and peaceful co-existence among Nigerian’s of different ethnic or religious background.
They also call on Kaduna state government to set up security outfits in Kafanchan and other trouble area’s to reduce crisis in the area, adding that no community will develop without peaceful co- existence. The group also attributed the conflict to religious
discrimination, poverty, unemployment, among others.
The group while condemning the crisis, reiterated their
commitment to leave in peace with anyone irrespective of any differences.
This was coming barely one week after leaders of Miyatti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Southern Kaduna traditional rulers and security operatives agreed on ceasefire in Kachia Kaduna
state.
