Skills Acquisition: ACCIF, TY Danjuma Foundation Graduate Another Set of 55 IDPs

All is set for the graduation of 55 Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs trained in various skills, sponsored by a Kaduna based Non Governmental Organisation, NGO, All Children Charity International Foundation, ACCIF
in partnership with TY Danjuma Foundation at New Kuchingoro, Ā IDPs camp in FCT, Ā Abuja.
Speaking on the training project, Executive Director, ACCIF, Barrister Ranti Daudu (Mrs), said the training is the second in the series of IDPs empowerment in the country by her organisation and TY Danjuma Foundation.
According to her, 50 IDPs were trained in the first phase of the programme in 2015, between the month of June and December in various trades such as: tailoring, shoe making, fish farming and poultry, which took place at TY Danjuma Foundation and ACCIF training centre in Pegi Kuje and Abuja @30, Abuja.
Bar. Daudu, explained that the second phase of the programme which is currently training 55 IDPs at New Kuchingoro, Pegi, and Kuje in Welding, Shoe making, and Tailoring, started in May and will round off in December 2nd 2016, through a grant from TY Danjuma Foundation.
“Start-up equipment and materials will be provided for each trainee after they have successfully completed their training for income generation purposes.
“Our next phase of IDPs empowerment is going to commence in Kaduna State by early 2017, and TY Danjuma Foundation has already made provision for the commencement and we are set for it takeoff. She added.
ACCIF, has been a passionate voice of for change in all aspects of persons with disabilities in Nigeria through better education, sustainable economic development, gainful employment and social protection for their special circumstances.
They have also ceaselessly promoted the rights and meet the needs of of specially challenged persons and the under-privilege, particularly children.
They have equally contributed optimally to the protection and sustenance of the vulnerables in the society by providing various supports for both Kaduna and Kwara States government, in areas of education, health.
