The Senator representing Katsina Central Senatorial District Abdul’aziz Musa ‘Yar’adua has provided 1,200 assorted fertilizer for distribution to farmers across 11 local government areas of the district.
This is another step forward in reciprocating the efforts of Governor Dikko Umar Radda and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in ensuring food security in this year’s farming season.
The distribution indicates that each of the eleven local government areas of the district has been allocated with one hundred bags of the commodity.
Speaking on behalf of the Senator at the distribution point, Alhaji Umar Farouk A K stated that the Senator provided the commodity to the benefitting farmers out of sympathy considering the escalation in price of the commodity.
According to A K, the provision of the fertilizer was a real testimony that the Senator has farmers in mind and the gesture is of continuous commitments.
Alhaji Umar A K spoke extensively on the achievements so far recorded by the Senator in the areas of humanitarian services, empowerment, Army recruitment among others.
Speaking on behalf of the Chairman Coordinating Unit of the Senatorial District Engineer Surajo Yazid Abukur, the Senior Legislative Aide to the Senator Alhaji AbdulRahman charged Local Coordinators to ensure objectivity in the distribution of the commodity.
Also speaking, the Katsina Local Government APC Chairman, Alhaji Mustapha Musa K/Bai commended the Senator for identifying with the electorates and advised him to sustain the gesture.
Alhaji Umar A K alongside the Secretary Zonal Campaign Office of the Senator Alhaji Abu Bala Saulawa supervised the distribution exercise.
