Self reliant: Masari assures of youth empowerment

Katsina State Governor Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari  has assured of continues training of youths and women on skills acquisition to create a self-reliant society.
The Governor gave the assurance while addressing instructors and trainees of 2016 Youths life skills and vocational entrenuership development programme at the Weekend in Katsina.
He revealed that the programme would be a continous one adding that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had introduced a programme to impart skills to market products by graduates of the scheme.
Alhaji Bello Masari disclosed that the Bank of Industries (BOI) had also brought a programme that requires two  billion naira counterpart funding.
Earlier, the Secretary to the  Government of the State Alhaji Mustapha Mohammed Inuwa said 1, 020 youths were mobilised and categorised into four groups with the aim of impating skills.
He said after the trainings, the youths would be settled with loans to establish businesses.
In a remark, a consultant Malam Sanusi Maikudi Tama said similar workshop has been organised in three states in the north with 140 participants.
