Security: Community Policing is my strategy – Kaduna CP

The Kaduna State Commissioner of Police Mr. Sanusi Lemu has reitrated his commitment towards working together with community policing in providing better security of lives and property in the state.
Mr. Lemu stated this when he paid a homage on the Emir of Zazzau Alhaji Shehu Idris in his palace and called on the traditional institution’s support towards having a crime free society.
He appealed to the communities, traditional and religious leaders to support the police with useful information and advice that will make Kaduna state a better place to leave because of its security system.
According to him, he was in the Zazzau Emirate palace to seek for the Royal blessing and support throughout his stay in Kaduna state.
The Commissioner further said he assumed office as CP Kaduna state about three months ago and was supposed to have paid homage but this couldn’t hold because of very tight schedule until now.
Responding, the Emir of Zazzau Alhaji Shehu Idris said the state has recorded many successes particularly on the issues of security and peaceful coexistence amongst the citizenry.
Alhaji Shehu Idris assured the CP of his emirate and traditional institution support in the state by given him all the necessary advise.
The Emir commended the plan efforts of utilizing the strategy of community policing as he said this will help the security situation in the state.
