Security: Bauchi assures stakeholders of logistic support

Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi state has assured the Nigerian Army and all other security agencies in the state of logistics and all needed supports in providing peace and security to the people.
He also expressed gratitude to the Army and other security agencies for providing security which made Bauchi state the most peaceful in the northeast region.
According to him, the attainment of peace and security is capital intensive, but maintained that no peace being expensive in Bauchi state is worth the costs.
The Governor was speaking while receiving the outgoing Commandant, Armoured Corps Headquarters, Bauchi, Major General Idris Mohammed Alkali who was on a farewell visit to the Government House.
He charged the outgoing commandant, Major General Idris Mohammed Alkali to deploy his experience to his new place of assignment and hope to enjoy the same cordial working relationship with his successor.
Major General Idris Mohammed had told the Governor that he has been transferred to the Defense Headquarters, and appreciated the support of the government and people of Bauchi during his stay in the State.
The outgoing Commandant, Major General Idris Mohammed announced the Army’s decision to undertake training exercises of its Armoured Corps personnel in all Bauchi forests.
He revealed that Armoured Corps personnel from parts of the country will soon be deployed to commence massive training exercises in all the forests in Bauchi state following a directive from the Army Headquarters.
General Idris Mohammed commended the Governor for transforming the state in spite of the paucity of resources in government coffers, saying that engineers have already surveyed roads in the Army Barracks preparatory to the commencement of construction contract awarded by the State government.
“Your Excellency, following the hospitality the Army receives from the Government and people of Bauchi state, I have decided to make Bauchi my retirement home”, he told the Governor.
