The Management of old Buhari Bala Model Primary School Makerar Gandu in Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area of Kebbi State has re-named the school Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu Model Primary School.
Chairman Management Committe, Alhaji Bello Mohammed Dan-Nigeria revealled this to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi in an interview.
Dan-Nigeria said the committe re-named the school after Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gawndu as result of his philanthropist gesture to the area, state and to humanity as whole.
He also revealled that Buhari Bala which was the name of the school right from its establishment thirty years ago, had never recieved any assistant from the man the school was initially named after.
New Nigerian on-line gathered that the former bearer, Buhari Bala was the former Minister of Foriegn Affairs during Gen Sani Abacha regime and now a member of PDP national working committe.
