Scarcity: NSCDC To Commence  Routine Check On Filling Stations To Halt Hoarding Of Fuel

The Oyo State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC),  CC Michael Adaralewa on Thursday, hinted that men of the Command would commence routine check on all the filling stations in the state to stop hoarding of petrol.

Commandant Adaralewa dropped this hint at a meeting with some of the Petrol dealers in the state, held  at the Oyo State NSCD  Headquarters at Agodi Ibadan.

Specifically, the NSCDC Commandant disclosed that men of the Anti – Vandalization unit of the corps will start a routine check on all the filling stations .

Commandant Adaralewa however, warned Petrol dealers in and across Oyo State to desist from hoarding fuel thereby bringing unnecessary hardship on the citizens.

He also warned petroleum marketers to avoid selling the product into kegs and that all Petro dealers and tanker drivers in the habit of diverting the product should desist from such act. 

According to CC Adaralewa, “

government is doing everything possible to make life easy for it’s citizens and we all need to support the government by doing the right thing at all time”, 

He then tasked the people of the State to be part of the nation building by volunteering information to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to checkmate those who are in the habit of hoarding fuel in the State.
