SBMC  Commissions WASH Project In Katsina

    School  Based Management Committee (SBMC) of Government Girls Secondary School, Daura has commissioned  a multi million  Naira water and sanitation project in the school.      The project was funded by AGILE World Bank assisted project for the development of grl-child education in the society.    Speaking shortly before the commissioning, chairman of the committee, Alhaji Hamisu Ibrahim Magayaki said they spent about six million, five hundred thousand Naira on the project.     Alhaji Ibrahim Magayaki explained that they renovated the overhead tank for the provision of potable drinking water to the students.   He said the committee also renovated 24 toilets and provided water, electricity and other facilities in the toilets.     Alhaji Magayaki said they also constructed a refuse collection centre in the school and a water reservoir  for the students.   He explained that they also renovated ceilings of some classes, provided 120 Desk and six white Boards with markers.     In his remarks, representative of Daura Zonal Education Office, Alhaji Sade Musa Kallah said the project was the first of its kind in the history of the school.   In a vote of thanks, the principal of the school, Hajiya Sa’adiya Sani Haruna spoke on the way and manner the project was started.    She  said the project was AGILE/ World Bank assisted project to boost girl-child education in the society.
