As the countdown to the 2023 general election campaign fast approaches, the good people of Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State are expected to decide who represents their peculiar interests in the State Assembly, come 2023.

Even though, there were two prominent political party’s always struggling to dominate the political space in terms of representation, however, the political equation is tactically changing due to the emergence of another deciding factor, which is the Labour Party.

The Labour Party even though somehow new in terms of structure and the flag bearers, there is a monumental acceptance of the August political party due to the enigmatic political crusade or movement being champion by the party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.

Before now in Sanga, the political battle was between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the present ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). Alas, the new political crusade which has culminated the nation’s political space, is gradually compelling the masses to shift their tents to a more reliable political umbrella, capable of ameliorating their sufferings, especially in the areas of socioeconomic and security challenges.

It’s not longer news that Sanga Local Government Area is bedeviled by numerous challenges, especially in the areas of socioeconomic and political underdevelopment despite its invaluable contributions towards the growth and development of the state and the country at large.

In the light of these challenges, the area had various representations from across the various ethnic, religious and political divides but with no meaningful people oriented results.

At present, the State Assembly race between the duo of the incumbent member, a woman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) extraction and the former Assembly member who fought but lost in a bid to continue in office under the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

In all sincerity of purpose, the duo of the political juggernauts have failed in their primary responsibilities. Hence, the urgent need for the people of the area to have a rethink with a view to replanning on whom should be given the mandate to represent the people of sanga, particularly the youth in a competitive era where sanga is fast loosing its position despite the huge human and material resources the area is endowed with.

Now that the era of rhetoricd is over or at the verge of total collapse,it’s imperative for the people of sanga, especially the youth to decide against the old order.

Here, corruption does not only translate to embezzling public funds but rather the squandering of public trust, a factor that remains a important to every decision the public should use as a criteria in choosing who to represent them at all levels of governance.

To this end, the triumphant entry of Mr. Benjamin Monday Sarki into the mucky waters of sanga politics should be watch keenly with a view to assessing the level of competence and genuine intends to serve the people.

Even though a young but matured indigene of Sanga, Mr. Benjamin Monday Sarki of the Labour Party’s unassuming tendencies and his concomitant lowly background should not be taken for granted, instead, it should be used as a litmus test to effect a balance on the normal tendency’s of the old brigade.

But if the Sanga people are to allow their political offices to be riddled with corrupt politicians who are living large with their families on personal aggrandizement at the detriment of the majority, then let the game continue, but if the people are desirous of a positive change, then the time is now to decide.

The Sanga Labour Party State Assembly candidate is just, unassuming, meek and full of piety and empathy. Gentle and respectful with the fear of God.

This voluminous traits he has been demonstrating before and now, that he is into the political race to represent his people at the historical Sir Lugard Hall come 2023.

He might not have the deep pocket, but he possesses the quality of a good leader and a goal getter.

In the final analysis, there is the need for the people of Sanga to do away with mediocrity and embrace genuine intentions capable of effecting a balance in our normal tendencies.

Thus, Sanga must get it right this time as the primordial factor of party should not becloud our sense of reasoning for a better life and the desired development in the twenty first century, where sanga local government area has NO even a micro finance bank but volumes of corrupt politicians with choice of properties home and away.

Let the people of Sanga decide between the old and the new brigade!
