The Permanent Secretary, Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Taraba State,Alhaji Bello Yerro on Monday lauded the peaceful celebration of Eid-el-Fitr in Taraba.
Bello disclosed this while interacting with journalists in Jalingo shortly after eid prayers.
He noted that peace is the only key for achieving the desired unity among Nigerians.
“All Muslims in Taraba and Nigeria at large should use the spirit of the Eid-El-Fitr to advocate and embrace peace to actualize the desired unity for all Nigerians.
“I wish to encourage citizens of Taraba to key into Governor Darius Ishaku’s peace policies and programmes for a greater state.
“The spirit of this Sallah should be a motivation for all of us the Muslims to champion peace and let insecurity fade away just like Corona virus,” he said.
Alhaji Haruna Mannu, the Taraba Deputy Governor, advised Nigerians to emulate the discipline demonstrated by Prophet Muhammed, while they celebrate to foster unity and peaceful coexistence.
