As Muslims all over the world celebrate ‎Eid-el-Fitr celebration which marks the end of the Ramadan Fast, the Kaduna State Command of the Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) said it has concluded plans to deploy over 5000 personnel to all nooks and crannies of the state to ensure a hitch free Sallah celebration.
The State Commandant of the Corps, Alhaji Modu Bunu, who revealed the command’s readiness at the state headquarters to pressmen, also advised  Kaduna residents and members of the public to report suspected objects, acts and persons to security agencies for necessary and prompt action.
Bunu said that all hands must be on deck to ensure security of lives and property, explaining that uniform, undercover and armed personnel will be adequately deployed to contend with any breach of peace before, during and after this year’s Eid-El-Fitr celebration.
He stressed the determination of the Corps to ensure the protection of critical assets and national infrastructure like petroleum pipelines, power installations and communication facilities among others.
However, to enable the NSCDC succeed, he emphasised the need for members of the public to report threats of such facilities to the Corps for appropriate measures to be taken.
The NSCDC boss expressed satisfaction with the conduct of Islamic faithful during this year’s Tafsir, urging all residents of the state irrespective of ethnic and religious inclinations to embrace one another.
According to him, all developmental efforts by government will not thrive in an environment where peace and stability are not entrenched, hence, the extreme need for all persons to shun discrimination under any guise.
