Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KASUPDA) has granted temporary locations for the rams selling business activities in Kaduna Metropolis.
This was disclosed in a statement issued to the press by the Head of Public Affairs Unit of the Authority, Nuhu Garba Dan’ayamaka.
According to him, the approval of the temporary markets followed after the authority held meeting with the executive members of the Rams Sellers Association, Kaduna State Chapter.
The meeting discussed the need for continuation of such initiative in which has brought sanity and successful rams business for the past three years in operation in the state.
The statement further explained that, in an effort to ensure urban sanity, security factor and avoiding city congestion as well as ensuring healthy of animals, secure, safe and suitability, therefore the temporary sites are located to them as follows:
Kawo Kara: which includes those from Unguwan Dosa, Unguwan Kanawa, Badarawa/Kwaru, Malali and Hayin Banki.
Durbar Kara: that includes those from Unguwan Shanu, Abakwa, Unguwan Rimi, Unguwan Sarki and Doka.
At Rigasa Kara (Train Station): it included those from Hayin Danmani, Hayin Malam Bello and Rigasa itself.
While at Barnawa KTL Quarters: include those from Railway station, Kakuri, Nasarawa and Narayi High Cost.
Other locations are Poly Road (T/Wada by Fidelity Bank), Kabala Costain, Nnamdi Azikwe Bypass Kara(opposite Dahiru Usman Bauchi Mosque respectively.
Millennium City, Unguwan Rimi, Malali and Millennim City axis.
The authority, therefore, advised all rams sellers, those within and others that were coming into the state to station at the above, to stay at the appropriate locations close to them.
“Adherence to this directive will enable the government to ensure orderly and secure environment for the temporary business activities in the state,” the statement stressed.
