The Commissioner of Police Kaduna State Command CP Yekini Ayoku has on the directives of the Inspector General of Police, embarked on confidence building patrol on the Abuja-Kaduna- Zaria highway, assuring committees that the stretch of the busy route is safe for travelers embarking on journeys during the Eid-el-Fitr festive season.
A statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Muhammed Jalige, said that he embarked on the tour of the highway on Sunday May 1, 2022. assured travelers of the safety of the road.
“The Eid-el Fitr celebrations, is an important Islamic festival, which several Muslim faithfuls will be spending with their families,” it quoted the CP.
It said that the CP explained that in view of that, he wishes to notify the general public that adequate security arrangements to cover for the eid-fitr celebrations in the state have been made, including safety on the highways.
The Commissioner therefore, assured members of the general public that their safety and security while traveling is of paramount importance to the Command.
He therefore, wished all those traveling safe journey and a pleasant Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
Interacting with some commuters during the visit, he lectured them on safety tips while traveling.
He however, advised the general public and travelers to promptly report any suspicious object(s) or person(s) through the designated Command’s emergency contacts viz; 07039675856 and 08075391105 for prompt response.
CP Ayoku was accompanied on the visit by the Commanding Officer 1Pmf, OC Operation Yaki, Coordinator Puff Adder and other senior officers of the command.
