Sacked Akwa Ibom Chief Of Staff Thanks Governor Emmanuel, Pledges Loyalty

Akparawa Ephraim Inyang-Eyen, the sacked Chief of Staff to Governor Udom Emmanuel has played kindness to the Governor and pledged continued support to his administration in Akwa Ibom state.
Before his appointment as the Chief of Staff, Akparawa Inyang-eyen had served in Governor Emmanuel’s Executive Council as a Commissioner for Works for over four years, and was the most influential cabinet member. 
His response to his recent relieved of duty by the Governor as contained in a letter he wrote from his village, Ikot Ebiere in Onna Local Government Area of the State, hit the public barely two hours after his relieve of position was announced.
Entitled “Message of Appreciation”, Akparawa Inyang-eyen expressed appreciations to Governor Emmanuel for the opportunity given him to serve in State Executive Council, his former colleagues and entire people of the State.
“I wish to sincerely thank His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel for the opportunity he gave me to serve as Commissioner for Works and most recently as his Chief of Staff. 
“I am grateful to him for having found me worthy to hold the two positions in his administration. And I am pleased I made a positive impact while I served.
“Let me also thank colleagues whom I served with in the State Executive Council and by extension the larger Exco for their support and encouragement during my time as both Commissioner for Works and Chief of Staff. 
“I equally thank the good people of Akwa Ibom State for availing me the opportunity to have served them in the two capacities so mentioned. I’m deeply grateful. 
“Let me restate my loyalty to His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel and my unflinching support for his completion agenda, Inyang-eyen wrote. 
He reiterated his desire to continue to work for the betterment of the state wherever he finds hiself in future, adding that his love for the state and people remains unquenchable. 
Governor Emmanuel had yesterday, in a letter signed on his behalf by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr Emmanuel Ekuwem stated that he relieved his former Chief of Staff, Ephraim Inyang-eyen of his position with immediate effect, was owed to need to match skills set and competencies in forwarding a peaceful economic development in Akwa Ibom state.
The letter read in part, “given the urgent need to match skill set and competencies to the task of maintaining the momentum of economic development in peace, your services are no longer required and you are hereby relieved of your position, as Chief of Staff  (CoS) to His Excellency, the Governor with immediate effect.”
Governor Emmanuel and Inyang-eyen are from Onna local government area of the state, and are long time friends before serving together in the Exco. The recent unveiling scenario has more of political factors bothering on succession plans in 2023 and their divided interest which the end will tell better, our Correspondent has observed.
