Sabon Gari L G Verification Committee submits report

The Chairman staff screening committee of Sabon-Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Alhaji Garba Alhaji has debunked the speculations making the rounds that he has ghost workers in the staff list of the Local Government.
Alhaji who is the District Head of Basawa made the denial at a presentation ceremony of the Committee’s report on the staff screening exercise to the Chairman Interim Management Committee of the Local Government, Engineer Mohammed Ibrahim Usman in his office, saying the allegation leveled against him and some members were baseless.
He said the four months exercise has been successful despite some hitches but the committee members come out with resolutions that would assist the Local Government in taking decision on matters concerning its staff.
According to him, Sabon-Ggari Local Government has 975 staff strength out of this number, 914 attended the screening committee exercise while 61 staff were completely absent throughout the period of the exercise.
Garba Alhaji advised the Local Government to carefully study the reports and know what actions to be taken on each of the recommendation the committee made so that, no staff will feel victimized as a result of the screening exercise.
The committee also identified many factors that crippled the development and growth of the Local Government among which are lack of commitment and supervisory role which he said paved way for staff absenteeism.
Responding, the Chairman, Engineer Mohammed Ibrahim Usman thanked the committee for their tireless efforts in serving their Local Government.
He assured the committee that all their recommendation would be carefully studied and implemented without any fear or favour.
Engineer Usman said, all staff of the Local Government are free to come up with their grievances with regards to the committee’s reports if anyone feels he was denied justice by the committee during its exercise.
It would be recalled that the screening committee was inaugurated on the 5th of August.
