RVSG to partner corporate bodies to promote cultural heritage

Rivers State Government says it is willing to partner corporate organisations and private investors in the development and promotion of its rich cultural heritage.
Governor Nyesom Wike stated this at the presentation of the Seki Dance Drama at Presidential Hotel, Port Harcourt, powered by one of the new generation Banks in Nigeria.
Chief Wike who was represented by his Deputy, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo, said his administration is passionate about preserving and showcasing the culture of the state to the outside community.
He noted that the State is blessed with rich and divers culture and Arts which depicts the way of life, creativity and untapped heritage, which if properly harnessed, could serve as a veritable source of boosting the internally generated revenue of the State.
Governor Wike commended the heritage bank for partnering with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in promoting the Seki dance, urging them to ensure that the Dance is taken beyond the shores of the Country.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Tonye Onyide thanked the sponsor of the Seki Dance for its supports, urging other private investors to emulate the worthy example of the Bank.
