A civil society organization under the aegis of Centre for Social and Economic Rights (CSER) has commended the Lagos State government for it’s acceptance of the recommendations of the Toyin Ayinde-led panel which investigated the collapse of a 21-storey building in the Ikoyi area of the state on November 1, 2021.
In a statement issued by the organization’s Executive Director, Nelson Ekujumi in Lagos, the group commended the steadfastness, courage and sincerity of the Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu administration on the matter which has been expressed in the government white paper.
It also commended the Toyin Ayinde led panel for it’s  thoroughness, time consciousness and transparency in carrying out it’s assignment without fear or favour, which was widely reported in the media.
The organization therefore called on the Lagos State government to ensure that the recommendations as contained in the White Paper are judiciously implemented as promised to serve as a deterent and to dispense justice to the soul of the victims of the unfortunate and regrettable incident in particular and the society at large.
