Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) has expressed satisfaction over the choice of Alh Abba Umar to serve in the ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as a permanent secretary.
In a congratulatory message signed by Kaduna State Chairman of RIFAN, Mohammed Umar Numbu and made available to journalists in Kaduna, the rice farmers lauded the magnanimity of the state governor towards appointing a seasoned administrator and grassroots mobilizer in the person of Abubakar Abba to serve as Permanent Secretary in the agricultural sector of the state’s economy.
The statement also expressed optimism in the ability and capacity of the new Permanent Secretary to work assiduously towards the realization of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani, adding that the new Permanent Secretary has contributed immensely towards farmers’ growth and development during his tenure as Vice Chairman of Sanga Local Government Council of Kaduna State.
The Chairman of the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria, however, appealed to the new Permanent Secretary in the ministry of agriculture to redouble efforts towards uplifting farmers, especially in the new regime of subsidy removal.
The association further prayed for God’s guidance and protection as well as the desired wisdom to enable the new Permanent Secretary succeed on his new assignment.
