Respect Each Other’s Differences, Kaduna Dep Gov Tasks

The acting Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe on Wednesday,  called on citizens across the state to respect and leave in peace with one another irrespective of their differences.

The acting governor said this when she received a delegation from the  Kaduna  State Bureau of Interfaith Matters, led by Director-General Tahir Umar on a courtesy visit to Government House in Kaduna.

She noted that peace cannot be forced, adding that their is need to  make conscious and deliberate efforts towards ensuring that it exists.

“We live together in peace together, recognizing our common humanity.

” Usually we tend to forget that we are from Adam and Eve, so we divide ourselves whether consciously or unconsciously,” she pointed out.

The acting governor urged the public to ensure that their utterances and relationship with one another promote peace and harmony.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after the visit, DG Interfaith, Tahir Umar  admonished religious leaders to always preach peace considering that 2023 general elections is  approaching.

He  stressed that preaching peace to the populace would lead to peaceful election and also respect for one another.

While reminding them that they are  religious family with  a mandate to reach down to grassroots and provide  solutions to their challenges.

According to him, we will intensify our efforts before 2023 general election to ensure harmony, peaceful coexistence between all faith in the state.

He called on  the populace and the  religious class to always preach peace in order to have a conducive atmosphere for the peaceful conduct of the 2023 election.

Umar reiterated the bureau’s commitment to continue working towards creating an atmosphere where  different faith will understand each other during and after general elections as it approaches.
