Rescheduled Polls : OAU Asks Students To Resume March 21

The Obafemi Awolowo University, (OAU), Ile Ife has announced Tuesday March 21 as the new date for the resumption of its academic activities after the general elections brake.

OAU announced this in a statement made available to journalists on Sunday by the Institution’s Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Olarewaju

The statement stressed that the shift in the resumption date from March 15 to 21 was as a result of the postponement of the Gubernatorial and State Houses of Assembly elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from March 11 to March 18.

” Consequent upon the postponement of the Gubernatorial and State Houses of Assembly elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the University administration hereby notifies the general public, particularly students, that the resumption of academic activities earlier scheduled for 15th March, 2023, has been shifted to Tuesday, 21st March, 2023″, Olanrewaju said. .

He added “Consequently, students are expected back on campus on Monday, 20th March, 2023, and to resume academic activities accordingly. We wish our students a safe trip back to the Campus”.
