A group, the Gbaja For Speaker Civil Society Coalition (GFS-CSC) on Saturday declared that “no force can stop the well-deserved victory of Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila as the next Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The group in a statement by the Director General of Hon Femi Gbajabiamila For Speaker Campaign Team,  made available to newsmen in Ibadan also cautioned  the National President of Miyetti Allah Katal Hore, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo and the Northern Youths to stop “unnecessary attack on the APC National leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

GFS-CSC in the statement while advising other Speakership aspirants, such as Hon Wase, Hon Betara, Hon John Dyegh, Hon Bago, Hon Babangida and Hon Namdas “to step down and get integrated into the Gbajabiamila structure before it is too late to do so”.

According to the group,as far as the 9th Assembly is concerned, Honourable Gbajabiamila stands out as the best and only candidate for the office

“No force can stop the well-deserved victory of Femi Gbajabiamila and we urge all other Speakership aspirants, including Hon Wase, Hon Betara, Hon John Dyegh, Hon Bago, Hon Babangida and Hon Namdas to step down and get integrated into the Gbajabiamila structure before it is too late to do so.”, it said.

The group added, “we feel convinced that in spite of mischievous intrigues, the victory of indefatigable and erudite Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila as the next Speaker of the House of Representatives is signed, sealed an waiting to be delivered next month.”

On the APC National leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the group stressed that there was no basis for what it described as “undue criticism” of the APC National leader.

“In respect of Asiwaju Senator Bola Tinubu’s unparalleled antecedents and his unequalled contribution that ensured the formation and electoral success of APC, erratic northern youths and their secret backers, as well as the National President of Miyetti Allah Katal Hore, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo should immediately table explicit apologies over their undue criticism of Asiwaju.”

It added, “again, we urge some  northern youths who were ranting against a likely 2023 Tinubu presidential run which he is at liberty to consider, as well as Miyetti Allah Katal Hore leader, Alhaji Bodejo who recently spilled so much bile and hatred against Asiwaju’s name to table their public apologies forthwith.”

The group stressed “we immensely thank Asiwaju Tinubu for his fatherly roles, visionary leadership and selfless projections into the future; if necessary, we urge him to consider jettisoning political calculations involving second fiddle roles for Lagos state in the Senate, and to, instead, focus exclusively o the House of Representatives’ leadership race. “

According to the group, “this will not only further convince all Nigerians of the rightness of our collective cause; it will also go a long way to silent those who erroneously ascribe his political permutations to a selfish agenda.”

GFS-CSC however  urged the ” outgoing Speaker Dogara and the entire leadership of the House not to bite the finger that fed them and helped raise them to current pedestals, but to facilitate the smooth transition to a more vibrant and progressive era of House leadership under Gbajabiamila.”

The group maintained that the “entire national leadership of All Progressives Congress Party (APC), Nigeria’s visionary Presidency, state governors elected on the platform of the APC and not less than 260 members of the 9th National Assembly’s House of Representatives have unequivocally resolved to ensure a landslide Speakership victory for erudite lawyer, Honourable Gbajabiamila.”

“As this new chapter in history unfolds, we, members of the “Gbaja For Speaker Civil Society Coalition’ (GFS-CSC) hereby urge all those standing on the wrong side of history, including party rebels and opposition elements to retrace their steps and do the needful by joining this very progressive bandwagon before it is too late. We note that the PDP members of the House of Representatives are too weak and too busy with an in-house civil war over three candidates jostling to become the Minority Leader”
