Senator Ali Wakili (APC) Bauchi State has said that he was vindicated with the recent sponsored hate songs and video clips smearing and denigrating his person and colleagues in the National Assembly including his political ally, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara.
It would be recalled that Wakili, representing Bauchi South senatorial district had few weeks ago through his senior Legislative Aide, Mohammed Ladan Ahmed, revealed an orchestrated plan by the Bauchi state government and its cohorts to smear and denigrate his person through sponsored hate songs and video clips.
“The various hate songs and video clips sponsored by the Bauchi State Government through some of its appointees now in circulation casted by some Jos and Kano based Hausa film makers are true testimonies to my earlier revelation about the plan by my political foes”.
The Senior Legislative Aide to the Senator said at a press briefing in Bauchi Monday that the recent inciting statements by Governor Mohammed Abubakar to the public in Azare, Misau and Bauchi at the flag-off of what he described as ‘heavily costed’ roads construction is another testimony to the senator’s earlier claim.
Ahmed further disclosed that senator Wakili’s political foes in Bauchi state also set up a heavily-bodied membership committee that could be deployed to all the 320 wards of the state to incite hatred against his boss and colleagues in the National Assembly.
Aide Mohammed Ahmed however warned those political foes who are trying to load it onto Senator Ali Wakili that “Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones”.
He added, “Let them walk freely themselves to those wards devoid of retinue of security officials as during the electioneering campaigns to see if they will be able to ask the questions themselves”, he fired back.
Ahmed then reiterated the commitment of Senator Ali Wakili to good governance through effective participation in the making of laws, provision of effective representation, elevating his constituency via building bridges, community outreach and giving of welfare, helping hand, empowerment and enhancement of the dignity of all.
