A renowned Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Taofeek Akeugberu Akeugbagold will on Monday April 18, deliver the 4th edition of Shina Peller’s annual Ramadan lecture of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council.
According to a statement by the Secretary of the Oyo State NUJ, Comrade Sola Oladapo, the annual NUJ Ramadan lecture is being sponsored by a member representing Iseyin/Tesiwaju/ Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency, Honourable Shina Abiola Peller.
Comrade Oladapo stressed that the lecture with the theme ‘2023 Election and Youth Participation for National Development: The Islamic Perspective” will take place at the Dapo Aderogba Hall NUJ Press Centre Iyaganku GRA Ibadan, by 4pm.
He stated that the sponsor of the programme, Hon. Shina Peller will be in attendance alongside other members of the National Assembly, family, friends and political associates.
The release quoted the NUJ Chairman, Alhaji Ademola Babalola as commending the lawmaker for leaving up to his promise of always sponsoring the Union’s Ramadan lecture for the fourth year running, annually.
Alhaji Babalola while lauding the Guest Lecturer and supporter of Journalists, Alhaji Akeugbagold for acceding to deliver the lecture despite the short notice urged Journalists in Oyo state to arrive the venue and break fast together with the lawmaker alongside other notable Nigerians and the Islamic clerics.
