Senator Uba Sani has said that it is a great pleasure to felicitate with Muslims across the world at the start of the glorious month of Ramadan.
Senator Uba who is representing the people of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone at the Upper Chambers, said Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam.
“It is a time to apply effectively the key values; Self-tolerance, forgiveness, sacrifice, love and also a time to touch the lives of the less privileged and vulnerable in our society through acts of charity.
“I urge us to seize the opportunity of this Ramadan period to reflect on the problems of our country and pray fervently for Allah’s divine intervention. We must remain united in order to defeat the common enemy that has sought to destroy our communities” he stated.
Senator Uba, went further to say that Ramadan “is a period of spiritual reflection, abstinence, sacrifice and supplications to the Almighty Allah.
“The main essence of the period is even more significant for us as we find solutions and divine guidance out of the current challenges we are facing now in our dear nation.
“I wish my dear constituents and the good people of Kaduna State a glorious Ramadan. May the spirit of this holy month stay in our heart and illuminate our soul from within”.
