Ramadan: Katsina Civil Service Union Distributes Grains To Members

Katsina State Chapter of the Nigeria Civil Service Union has distributed assorted grains to its members as Ramadan palliatives.
            

The distribution of the grains was launched at the state headquarters of the union, along Katsina-Dutsinma Road in Katsina metropolis.


 The Chairman of the union, Comrade Zailani Isyaku Kofar Bai who launched the distribution, said the Ramadan gesture has been the annual tradition of the union.
            

Comrade Zailani Isyaku said the provision of the assorted grains was meant to assist members to observe Ramadan fast with relative ease.
    

He said the union deemed it imperative to uphold such tradition for the welfare of its members despite the economic challenges facing the country and the world at large.
            

The Chairman of the union explained that the commodities would be conveyed to Government Ministries and Agencies for onward distribution to members.
           

 Comrade Zailani Isyaku urged the members to use Ramadan period in praying for God’s intervention against the security challenges facing some parts of the State and the country at large.
            

The commodities distributed include two hundred bags each of maize and millet as well as thirty bags of sugar and rice each.
            

Commenting on the gesture, the Secretary of the union, Comrade Awwal Shehu expressed optimism that it would go a long way in assisting the members during Ramadan period.
