The Chairman Council of Ulama’u of the Jama’atul Izalatul Bid’ah Wa’ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) Bauchi State Chapter, Sheikh Salihu Sulaiman Ningi has urged the Muslims Umma to use the month of Ramadan and pray for the success of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
Ningi made the plea during the official opening of this year’s Ramadan Tafseer at Bakin Kura Friday Mosque Bauchi, where he was posted by National Headquarters of JIBWIS, Jos, stressing that the present economic and insecurity challenges in the country needs God’s intervention.
He explained that Ramadan is an honorable and blessed month in which prayers of the faithful are being answered by God, saying lots of mistakes have been made by leaders and followers, as the President needs wisdom to correct past wrongs in order to move the nation forward.
“Religious leaders must continue to pray for the success of President Muhammadu Buhari, his aides and all abled bodies so as to make Nigeria a better place to live” Ningi said.
Sheikh Salihu Sulaiman also called on clerics not to relent in their fervent prayers for the nation, noting that the prayers of the righteous would yield positive results from God especially this month of Ramadhan.
Also speaking the Tafseer Committee Chairman, Ustaz Mas’ud Ibrahim Tulu, appealed to Muslim Umma to share goodies with people, and noted that Nigerians are going through untold economic hardships.
He explained generosity and giving are attributes that Allah likes for the Muslim Umma, saying, Allah’s generosity multiplies in the blessed month of Ramadan.
Ustaz Tulu said, “Ramadan is the month of giving mercy, and in it Allah blesses the believers with forgiveness and save them from Hellfire. Therefore, whoever is merciful and giving in Ramadan, Allah will be even more merciful and giving, and will bestow upon him countless bounties and blessings”.
