Parents Teachers Association (PTA), Air Force Comprehensive School Kano Chapter has described the school as an avenue for better learning to the young ones and at the grassroots level which remain the reasons why parents and guardians resolving to enroll their wards into the academy.
This was disclosed by the Parents Teachers Association’s chairman of the institution, Air Vice Marshall Umar Ibrahim (rtd) in his speech at the Kano Air Force Comprehensive School graduation ceremony held on Friday August 13, 2022.
He added that, “We are happy with how our kids are being taught at Kano AFCS and the school management and instructors remain committed to ensuring that our younger generations acquire sound education at the grassroots level, and we are satisfied with what is happening in the area of learning and discipline,” he stated.
Air Vice Marshall Umar said that as parents and guardians, they would continue to work selflessly to ensure that their kids and wards also remain attentive to studies, despite odds and reiterated that AFCS Kano is one of the best academies established by the Nigeria Air Force.
He said that, “On behalf of all parents, we wish to thank and commend the school management team under the leadership of Wing Commander Mustapha Garba for steering the wheels of the school to an exemplary institution, and thank the NIgerian Air Force for their usual support to all the existing comprehensive schools across Nigeria.”
In his welcome address, the commandant of the school, Wing Commander M. Garba announced that Kano Air Force Comprehensive School is getting all the necessary support and recognition from the Nigerian Air Force authorities, that is why they are working selflessly to ensure that the students remain committed to learning for future professionalism.
He reassured that his leadership would continue to bring more fortunes to the school and the students in order to obtain better education, especially at present, when the world is rapidly advancing in the area of education.
He commended the school’s teachers and members of the management team for their dedication to duty.
Our correspondent who graced the colourful event, reports that the graduation ceremony was well planned to the best standard, with top ranking military personnel, both serving and retired in attendance.
It also attracted parents and guardians, invited guests as well as traditional rulers.
Different gifts were presented to outgoing students, dedicated teachers, some PTA members and non-teaching staff, while special entertainment was also enjoyed from the popular Kano Koroso dancers, invited from Kano History and Culture Bureau respectively.
