President Muhammadu Buhari has commissioned some projects  both executed by the federal and Kano State governments as part of his one-day working visit to the state.

Our correspondent who was in the city of Kano in the morning, reports that all the routes leading to the commissioning venues were surrounded by  security agents stationed across the state in order to ensure hitch-free  visit.

Furthermore, some residents remained far away from the presidential convoy, while others concentrated on their  activities where all the routes followed by the president and his entourage were seriously dominated by military  and mobile policemen.

Some of the youth that had  interactive sessions with  New Nigerian  said that Kano is the hope to Mr. President politically, but his popularity is now gradually fading due to the president’s policies in governance that are very tough.

Malam Usman Adamu Isa who is also a frontline member of All Progressives Congress (APC) announced that, “The presidential visit was done peacefully and the measures taken by the security agencies is understood because some elements  planned to  disrupt the visit, which would not be tolerated”.
