Welcoming the Olubadan into his palace, Oba Adeyemi assured that he would continue to maintain the cordial relationship existing between him and the Olubadan as well as his people considering the long relationship with Oba Adetunji.
Speaking, the Olubadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji said the visit was in continuation of his visit to appreciate and thank all those that attended his coronation and to foster unity among the traditional rulers in Yorubaland.
Oba Adetunji pledged his support for the continuous and mutual relationship between the people of Ibadanland and Oyo town.
While recalling his relationship with Oba Adeyemi prior and after his (Alaafin) coronation in 1971, Oba Adetunji who described the Alaafin as a man of many colors prayed  for more fruitful years for the Alaafin and himself on the thrones.
