Police Nabs Choice Cars’ Vandals, Apprehends 4 Suspects

Four suspected members of a syndicate that specialize in vandalising and selling of choice cars have been nabbed by police operatives in Lagos.

Identified as Sodiq Odugbade, 20, Aliyu Yusufa 20, Ayinla  Aliaminu, 21 and Ayomide Ogunshiyi, 18, the suspects were alleged to have vandalised three Mercedes Benz SUVs brought in for repairs at a mechanic workshop  and their brain boxes and oil pumps stolen. 

They were said to have been arrested by  operatives attached to Surulere Division on Wednesday September 7, 2022 after a report.

Our correspondent gathered that the suspects, said to be mechanic apprentices in the neighborhood, have given useful information to the police. 

The police public relations officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin while confirming the report said efforts are on to arrest the receivers of the stolen items. 

He disclosed that all the suspects have since been arraigned.

According to the police spokesperson, the  Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi has  assured Lagosians of the relentless efforts of officers and men of the Command to bring crime to the barest minimum.
