Police Declares APGA Guber Candidate, 8 Others Wanted Over Alleged Murder Of  Ebonyi Traditional Ruler

Ebonyi State Police Command has declared the gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Prof.Benard Odoh, and eight others  wanted over alleged assassination of the traditional ruler of Umu-Ezekoha Community, HRH Eze Christopher Igboke Ewa.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO)  SP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, the under-listed were declared wanted in connection with the murder of the traditional ruler of Umu-Ezekoha community in Ezza North LGA of Ebonyi state.

“The Ebonyi State Police Command has declared the under-listed persons wanted in connection with the murder of his Royal Highness Eze Christopher Igboke Ewa of Umu-Ezekoha Community in Ezza North.

Their names are as follows;-

*1.  Prof. Bernard Odoh*
*2.  Samuel Onyekachi Aligwe*
*3.  Peter Orogwu (aka one boy)*
*4.  Chukwudi Aliewa (aka Ezza)*
*5.  Chika Ezealigbo*
*6.  Nnaemeka Egede (aka Champaign)*
*7.  Nnabuike Okohu*
*8.  Ogobuchi Agbom (aka Okiri)*
*9. Nonso Obasi*
*10. Ikechukwu Nwoba (aka Solid)*

“The Command urges the good people of Ebonyi State and the general public to assist in apprehending the suspects if seen or call the command’s emergency number 07064515001 or the nearest Police station with any useful information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects,” itsaid 
Reacting on the development, the APGA guber candidate, Odoh said he has obtained court order to restrain police, security agencies from arresting him.

The APGA guber candidate, Benard Odoh on Monday, said he obtained an order from a High Court in Owerri in suit No: HOW/194/2023 dated March 3, 2023, to restrain the Nigeria Police and other security agencies in the state from harassing or arresting him.

Recall that the governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi had said he will ensure that those fingered in connection with the murder of HRH. Ezeogo Igboke Ewa of Umuezeokaoha in Ezza North LGA, will be arrested and prosecuted.
